Queen Eleanor died in Nottinghamshire in November 1290. Her husband then had a cortege from Harby Nottinghamshire to Westminster Abbey London which stopped at several locations along the route. This location had an Eleanor Cross located at each of these locations. Our walk walks in the Harby Notts area to remember the occasion.
Harby, Carr Farm, Skellingthorpe, Big Wood, Doddington Hall, return to Harby (Manor Hall site of Queen Eleanor’s death)

Meet Chris Thompson (Gedling Ramblers) at Harby Village Hall, High Street, Harby.
