Erasmus Darwin had many talents in physics, chemistry, meteorology, and all aspects of biology. Born in Elston near Newark he was the youngest of four sons and he became one of the foremost physicians of his time. Join us on a circular walk around his birthplace village of Elston.
Church of All Saints Syerston, Elston Spa, Trent Lane, East Stoke Battlefield, Red Gutter, St Oswald’s Church East Stoke, Stoke Fields, Elston Chapel, Elston Hall (birthplace of Erasmus Darwin) and return.
