May: Sport Parkinson’s Try-Athlon on the 10th, Colwick Nordic walking on the 15th and 22nd

Parkinson’s Nordic Walking is a group physical activity, outdoors, using sporty Nordic poles that are free to borrow. Think Nordic skiing without snow! This Nordic walking group is tailored for people with Parkinson’s and focuses on improved gait, balance, posture and overall fitness by engaging the upper body and core. Nordic walking can help to improve arm swing and stride length, and it provides a sociable group activity that can boost motivation and mood. The price for Nordic Walking is £3 per session (first session free.)

The group is hosted by Sarah McCracken, an experienced Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist who is also a British Nordic Walking Instructor.
